A Burbank woman was charged last week in connection with the murders in November of an Argo High School student and a Summit man.
Jennifer Harris, 39, was charged July 15 with obstructing justice and aiding a fugitive, Summit police said.
Mariano Martinez, 31, of Midlothian, and Nicacio Munoz, 34, of Whiting, Indiana, were charged with first-degree murder in the fatal shootings of 16-year-old Jaydin Bahena and 34-year-old Jose David Rosales.
Police said Harris intentionally destroyed and concealed physical evidence to prevent the apprehension of the two suspects. Additionally, she has been accused of aiding a fugitive to flee by assisting one of the suspects in evading prosecution by leaving the state.
The two men are scheduled to return to the Bridgeview Courthouse on August 28.
Police said the incidents occurred around 10:20 p.m. on Nov. 1 near Hanover and 73rd Avenue. Officers responding to reports of gunfire found Bahena with a gunshot wound and Rosales injured in a nearby vehicle. Both victims were transported to the hospital, where Bahena died on Nov. 2 and Rosales was pronounced dead shortly after the shooting.
Bahena was a junior at Argo and was known for his vibrant personality and kind heart. Rosales, a father and beloved family man, is survived by his children, wife, and parents.
Following an investigation led by the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force, Martinez and Munoz were identified as suspects. Martinez was arrested on Dec. 4 by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, and Munoz was taken into custody on Nov. 26 by Hammond police before being extradited to Illinois.
