Ramon Lopez, 66, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 1, 2025.
Born on April 18, 1958, Ramon was the beloved son of the late Fidel and Baudelia Lopez. He was a cherished brother to Carmen (the late Jose), Sotero (Anna), Trini (Jesus), Fidel (Maria), and Jose Guadalupe (Celina). He was preceded in death by his siblings Jesus, Javier, Jose Angel, Rigoberto, and Rafael.
Ramon was a devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews and a much-loved godfather to Josue Lopez and Angel Pagan. He held a special place in the hearts of the Godinez family, who loved him deeply. Ramon was a loyal and proud member of the Operative Plasterers and Masons Local Union #502, where he found camaraderie and purpose.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Avenue, Summit, Illinois, with a Celebration of Life Service at 6 p.m. Honoring his wishes, Ramon was cremated.
Family and friends will gather again on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 10 a.m. at Foran Funeral Home. A procession will follow to Resurrection Cemetery, where Ramon will be laid to rest beside his parents and brother.
Ramon will be remembered for his love, loyalty, and the bonds he shared with his family and friends. His memory will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew him.
