On Friday, October 25, Peotone High School honored its Football Seniors. Congratulations to the following senior football players!

Laith Khalil Abunijmeh: Laith is the son of Khalil and Shirin Abunijmeh and has played football at PHS for the past four years. Some of Laith’s favorite memories were all the football bus rides home after winning a game! After high school, Laith would like to become a lawyer. Congratulations, Laith!

Marcus Baker: Marcus is the son of Jillian Corbin and has competed on the Blue Devil football team for the past four years. Marcus’ favorite memory was when he got his first reception against Manteno in his sophomore year! In the future, Marcus hopes to either go to college and play football or go into the carpentry trades. We wish you the best of luck, Marcus!

Joshua Bass: Joshua is the son of Jessica Radtke and has been on the PHS football team for the past two years. Joshua’s favorite memories were going to the locker room after a win and singing as a team. After high school, Joshua plans to run track in college and acquire a degree in Criminal Justice to eventually get into law enforcement. Good luck to you, Joshua!

Abel Cano Jr.: Abel is the son of Abelardo and Angela Cano and has competed on the Blue Devil football team for four years. Some of his favorite memories from being on the team were the bus rides home after winning away games. After high school, Abelardo plans to go into the trades and become an electrician. Congratulations, Abel!

Rorey Hart: Rorey is the son of David Westerhausen and Lindsay Kras and has participated on the PHS football team for the past four years. Rorey’s favorite memory was celebrating the Marengo win with the team and especially Coach Tolly. In the future, Rorey hopes to join the Army and then enter a fire academy to become a firefighter. Luke Lally: Luke is the son of John and Dana Lally and has played football at PHS for the past four years. Luke enjoyed all the times he got to sing with his friends. In the future, Luke plans to become a firefighter. We wish you the best, Luke!

Evan Lonard: Evan is the son of Lori and Steve Lonard and has played football at PHS for four years. Evan’s favorite memories were the bus rides and making it to the second round of playoffs. In the future, Evan would like to study business in college. Congratulations, Evan!

Eric Meltz: Eric is the son of Stacy Toman and Brian Meltz and has competed on the Blue Devil football team for four years. Eric’s favorite memory was when Coach Cork broke Goutis’ ankles on preview night his junior year. After high school, Eric wants to become an electrician. We wish you the best, Eric!

Anthony Morek: Anthony is the son of John and Tiffany Morek and has competed on the PHS football team for four years. Anthony’s favorite memory was the bus ride back home after beating Reed-Custer last year. In the future, Anthony plans to make a career by joining the 150 Operators. Good luck to you, Anthony!

Matthew Noworul: Matthew is the son of Renata Noworul and has been on the Blue Devil football team for one year. Matthew has enjoyed his entire football senior year with the team at PHS! In the future, Matthew wishes to open his own business and do stock market investing. We wish you the best of luck, Matthew!

Kayden Pane: Kayden is the son of Steven and Jessica Pane and has played football at PHS for the past four years. Kayden’s favorite memory was having the football team over for the Pane Pool Party. After high school Kayden plans to major in English or History Education in college. Congratulations, Kayden!

Connor Pasch: Connor is the son of Craig and Sharon Pasch and has competed on the Blue Devils football team for one year. Connor’s favorite memory was getting a pick 6 in his first game back! In the future, Connor wishes to become a firefighter. Good luck to you, Connor!

Brandon Pleckham: Brandon is the son of Andrea and Tom Pleckham and has played football at PHS for the past four years. Brandon’s favorite memory was weightlifting with the team in the off-season and breaking the school deadlift record! In the future, Brandon would like to attend a community college and earn an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science in order to pursue a career in the fire service. Congratulations, Brandon!

Chase Rivera: Chase is the son of Rick and Jen Rivera and has played football at PHS for four years. Chase’s favorite memories were going to the second round of playoffs last year and breaking the single game rushing yards record this year. Chase plans to major in business at a four-year university and eventually own his own business. Good luck to you, Chase!

Dalton Sala: Dalton is the son of Kelly and Gerald Sala and has competed on the Blue Devil football team for the past four years. Some of Dalton’s favorite memories are when Coach Butz coached a defensive shutout on varsity, Laith’s impression of Tolly at the seven-on-seven lunch last year, and his first touchdown last Friday with all the guys! After high school, Dalton wishes to either pursue nursing or a medical field in college, while also pursuing acting on some level. We are rooting for you, Dalton!

Wyatt Smith: Wyatt is the son of Lonny and Deanna Smith and has competed on the PHS football team for the past four years. Wyatt’s favorite memory was beating Manteno, 47-15, on his birthday at Homecoming. After high school, Wyatt plans to continue playing football in college! We wish you the best, Wyatt!

Ruben Velasco III: Ruben is the son of Ruben and Laura Velasco and has been a member of the PHS football team for three years. Ruben’s favorite memory was getting moved up as a sophomore and throwing a 69-yard touchdown pass to start a comeback against Edgewood! In the future, Ruben hopes to play college baseball. Congratulations, Ruben!
