Former Will County Clerk Lauren Staley Ferry has endorsed Joliet Township High School 204 President and Will County Director of Workforce Services Michelle Stiff’s candidacy for Will County Clerk.
“I served as Will County Clerk for nearly six years, amidst some of the most trying times for our election authorities in our nation’s history,” said Staley Ferry. “We need a leader in this office who will prioritize election security, exercise fiscal discipline, and keep voting accessible to all communities across Will County. We need a leader we can trust — and I know Michelle Stiff will be that leader for Will County. That’s why I’m proud to endorse her for Will County Clerk in the upcoming November election.”
Awarded by the Illinois State Crime Commission for her skillful coordination of the 2020- ’21 elections during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and heralded by county government officials on both sides of the aisle for her leadership, Staley Ferry’s endorsement marks a massive momentum boost for Will County Director of Workforce Services Michelle Stiff’s campaign.
“I could not be prouder to have Lauren’s support,” said Will County Clerk Democratic nominee Michelle Stiff. “People know and trust her because she transformed the Will County Clerk’s office, saving taxpayers hundreds of thousands, while making it more responsive and efficient than ever. Voters can count on me to continue making security, fiscal discipline, and voter accessibility top priorities of the Will County Clerk’s Office.”
