Roger Lee Bunte, 74, of Beecher, passed away on Monday, October 9, at his home surrounded by his family. Born September 17, 1949, in Chicago Heights, he was the son of Milford and Lorna (Senholtz) Bunte, who preceded him in death.

He enjoyed golfing, playing cards, bowling, sunsets, and spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed attending parades with his grandchildren and eating their candy. After retirement, he loved spending the winters at his home in The Villages, Florida. Roger was a big fan of the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs. He enjoyed meeting with friends and tipping a few at his favorite watering holes in Illinois and Florida.
Roger is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Bunte; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nicole (Casey) Green, and Ashley (David) Wehrmann, both of Peotone; five grandchildren, Van Wehrmann, Nate Wehrmann, Ella Green, Cade Green, and Cole Green; brothers, Ralph Bunte, of Lombard, and Kenneth (Kathleen) Bunte, of Charlotte, North Carolina; sisters, Carol (Wayne) Watland, of Orland Park, and Barbara Bunte (Celeste), of Arbo Minnesota; plus numerous nieces and nephews.
