Tamra Lynn Becker, 62, formerly of Peotone and Gilman, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Park Ridge Healthcare in Park Ridge. Born on December 18, 1960, in Joliet, she was the daughter of Marvin E. and Aletha E. (Cotter) Becker.
Tamra was a lifetime member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Peotone and a former member of the Slow Boys Tractor and Engine Club of Gilman. She enjoyed listening to music, especially the Oak Ridge Boys. Tammy touched many lives and brightened everyone’s day with her smile.
She is survived by her brothers Wayne M. (Linda S.) Becker of Gilman and Keith M. (Julie A.) Becker of Peotone; nieces, Kimberly A. Becker, Kristina M. Becker, and Katherine M. (Tom) McNulty; great-nieces and great-nephews, Natalie A. Greskoviak, Grace M. Wieck, Declan L. Conrad, and Zachary J. McNulty; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother, Aletha E. Becker (February 18, 2018); her father, Marvin E. Becker (December 18, 2022); paternal and maternal grandparents; and numerous uncles and aunts.
Visitation will be held at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 311 W. Corning Ave., Peotone, on Thursday, March 23, from 3 – 6 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m., with Rev. Terry Krouskoupf officiating. A dinner will be served immediately following the funeral service in the fellowship hall. Private interment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, alongside her father and mother. Memorials in her name may be directed to St. Jude Children’s
