You know you’re old when you have a conversation with friends about the best way to display photos of your grandchildren.
Hubby and I recently shared some ideas with our dear friends, Carl and Karen. I have our fridge loaded with photos inside clear fridge magnet photo holders. You can get these at just about any dollar store.
Carl and Karen have photos of their adorable grandkids hanging from clothespins clipped to a thin rope draped across part of their kitchen wall. Their display is charming. If you have any ideas you’d like to share, just text or call me. I’d love to hear about them.

The Balzekas Museum of Lithuanian Culture, 6500 S. Pulaski, is hosting an Easter egg etching workshop at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16. Call for more information at (773) 582-6500 or visit balzekasmuseum.org.
While you are at the museum, check out their current book sale. The books are printed mostly in Lithuanian, but there are some in English and other languages as well. There are history, religious, fiction, art and music books, plus sets of encyclopedias. The Balzekas Museum is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.
The West Lawn Conservation Club recently had a meeting in which they shared and traded seeds. The club also has new stickers with their beautiful logo. You can check out their seed collection and get one of their stickers at Los Youth Center office, 3919 W. 63rd St. The club plans on beautifying West Lawn in the spring and summer with plantings on traffic circles. Los Youth Center will be hosting a breakfast with the Easter Bunny on Saturday, March 23 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There is a $5 donation per person, which includes pancakes, sausage, drinks and a photo with Thumper the bunny. Registration is required. Call (773) 424-5249 or visit their Facebook page.
