Business leader launches ‘Cool Kids Club’

Parents of special-needs boys and girls living in Clearing and Garfield Ridge are invited to enjoy a Chicago Dogs baseball game this month, courtesy of a local business leader.
“Few things are more fun, more American than enjoying a baseball game in the summertime,” said Geno Randazzo of All Exterior Contractors.
Randazzo is offering to host up to 50 special-needs children at the Chicago Dogs home game set for Saturday, Aug. 19 at Impact Field, 9800 W. Balmoral Ave., Rosemont.
First pitch is set for 6 p.m., but there will be pre-game festivities, as well as a fireworks show after the game between the Chicago Dogs and the Cleburne (Texas) Railroaders.
The evening’s festivities will include a Star Wars theme, so children and parents are welcome to dress up as their favorite Star Wars character.
Randazzo also will purchase an admission ticket for one parent (or legal guardian) of each special-needs child.
Each child will be treated to a hot dog and pop at the game, as well as a Chicago Dogs cap.

Further, each child will be enrolled as charter members in the Midway Cool Kids Club, newly created by Randazzo and which will offer members opportunities to enjoy future outings and giveaways.
“All too often, even in 2023, special-needs children are left out of activities other children enjoy,” Randazzo said. “The Midway Cool Kids Club is a way to let special-needs boys and girls know that not only are they included in the fun, they are moved to the front of the line.”
Transportation to and from the game is the responsibility of each parent/legal guardian.
