Jozef Kadlub, born on April 10, 1963, in Stare Bystre, Poland, passed away on July 3, 2026, surrounded by the love and prayers of those who cherished him. He was 63. Jozef was a devoted Catholic, a faithful husband, loving father and grandfather, cherished brother, and respected friend whose life was defined by hard work, generosity, and deep devotion to faith, family, and friendship.
Jozef is survived by his beloved wife, Weronika “Lila” Kadlub; his daughters, Anna (Lukasz) and Katarzyna (Trenton); his son, Joey; his granddaughters, Veronica, Elizabeth, and Rose; and his siblings, Maria Sendecka, Aniela Golak, Zofia Kaczmarczyk, Stanislaw Kadlub, Wladyslaw Kadlub, and Anna Kadlub. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jozef and Anna, and by his brother, Jan. His family was the center of his life, and he carried each of them in his heart with steadfast love and prayer.
Jozef lived a life of hard work and joy. He was a respected businessman and Master Electrician, known for his skill, integrity, and strong work ethic. He also served with distinction as Head Violinist of the ZPPA, the Zwiazek Podhalan w Polnocnej Ameryce, and Kolo Parafii Klikuszowa. He played for the next generation of young highlanders in Szkolka Piesni i Tanca oraz Zespol Chocholowianie, where he helped preserve and celebrate the traditions of Polish Highlander music and culture. He brought joy to many and loved his culture and people deeply.
Playing his beloved instruments and sharing their sound around his family and friends was one of his greatest passions. He loved the violin and once served as a wedding band guitarist in his youth. He also enjoyed skiing, traveling, working as a craftsman, and always finding new things to create and improve. He was a true people person, whose kindness, wisdom, and selfless spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He lived with a quiet strength rooted in Catholic faith, trusting in God in his daily life.
He was an example of humility, diligence, and love. Jozef understood the value of family, the dignity of honest work, and the beauty of a life well lived. As Scripture reminds us, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7), and Jozef’s life reflected that faithful witness. He leaves behind a legacy of devotion to God, love for his family, pride in his Polish Highlander roots, and a lifetime of meaningful contributions to his community. May he rest in the peace of Christ, and may his memory remain a blessing to all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.

Funeral: Thursday, July 9, 2026, 8:45 a.m. Prayers and procession to begin from the funeral home to Saint Fabian Church, 7450 W. 83rd Street, Bridgeview, Illinois, for 10 a.m. Mass.
Interment: Resurrection Cemetery, Justice.
