The Village of Orland Park invites residents and visitors to celebrate America’s 250th birthday Saturday, July 4, during the annual Independence Day Celebration presented by Comcast at Centennial Park West.
The event will feature live music, children’s activities, bounce houses, food and beverage vendors and a fireworks display fit for the 250th celebration. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, snacks and beverages to enjoy the evening. Admission and parking are free. Concessions, beer and wine will be available for purchase during the event.
Gates open at 5 p.m. The concert begins at 5:30 p.m. with country band Tim Gleason and the Whiskey Disco, followed by headliner The HITS: A Musical Tribute to the Spirit of America, celebrating the music and memories that have defined generations of Americans.
Before the fireworks display at 9:30 p.m., guests are invited to join in the Presentation of Colors and the singing of the National Anthem by the Village of Orland Park Children’s Theater Troupe to honor the men and women of the United States Armed Forces.
