Armando Santoyo, 41, of Chicago, was charged with felony retail theft at Walgreens, 4740 W. 95th St. in Oak Lawn at 12:35 p.m. April 24. Police said he stole a case of beer and was found drinking one of the cans on a Pace bus shortly afterward.
The charge was raised to a felony due to a long history of local arrests, including six for retail theft. He was due in court April 27.
