Zdzislaw Sobol, a longtime resident of the Chicago area, died April 6, 2026. He was 90.
He is survived by his wife, Stanislawa Sobol; two daughters, Agnieszka Vogelsinger and Joanna Lepkowski; two grandchildren, Patricia Madey and Jacob Lepkowski; and two siblings, Eugeniusz and Jozefa Sobol. He was preceded in death by his parents, Franciszka and Jan Sobol, and his sister, Anna Sobol.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 10, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Ave., Justice, Illinois.
A funeral Mass will be held Saturday, April 11, at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady Mother of the Church Polish Mission, 116 Hilton St., Willow Springs, Illinois. Prayers and a procession will begin at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m.
Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, Illinois.
