Burbank police responded to a reported threat Wednesday morning at Liberty Junior High School but determined it was unfounded.
Police said the threat was reported at 9:18 a.m.
Officers secured the school and surrounding area and conducted a thorough search. No credible threats were located. The school and area have been determined to be safe. No injuries were reported, and no individuals are believed to be in danger as a result of this incident.
Officers from the Oak Lawn Police Department, Bridgeview Police Department, Bedford Park Police Department, and Hodgkins Police Department assisted in the investigation.
This matter remains an active and ongoing investigation. Specific details regarding the nature of the threat will not be released at this time, police said.
