A family-run computer business in Palos Heights is marking a major milestone this spring, celebrating 30 years of service to the community.

Computer Greeks, located at 12222 S. Harlem Ave., was founded in 1996 by brothers Steve, Toby and Phil Georgiou. What began as a shared vision among the three has grown into a longstanding local fixture offering a wide range of computer services.

“It’s always been a family business, and we take a lot of pride in that,” said Toby Georgiou, who lives in nearby Palos Hills.

While Steve Georgiou has since moved to California, he remains an owner. Toby and Phil Georgiou continue to operate the business locally, maintaining its family-centered approach.

Computer Greeks provides repair, sales and networking services for desktop and laptop computers. Its offerings include hardware repairs, operating system troubleshooting, virus and malware removal, data recovery and custom-built computers. The business also sells new and refurbished machines, along with accessories and peripherals.

Customers can access services in-store, on-site or remotely, serving both residential and business needs.

Now entering its third decade, the next generation of the computer lovers has begun to take part in the business. Weston Swartz has recently joined the team.

“I have been working here for six months now, and we definitely face new challenges every day,” Weston Georgiou said. “The challenges are what make it fun.”

As the company celebrates 30 years in May, the Georgiou family says its focus remains the same — providing reliable service while staying connected to the community it has served for decades.
