Sherry Catherine Ziomek, a devoted mother and grandmother known for her warmth and creativity, died March 17, 2026, in Fairfield, California. She was 75. The cause was heart failure.
She is survived by her husband, Keith Ziomek; her daughter, April Ziomek-Portillo; her son, Keith Jr. Ziomek; two grandchildren, Devin Ziomek-Portillo and Katie Ziomek-Portillo; and her brother, Steve Charnas.
Ziomek was born Dec. 3, 1950, in Chicago. She was known for her love of travel and her devotion to family. She treasured time with her grandchildren and was passionate about creating lasting memories with those closest to her.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 31, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Ave., Justice, Illinois.
A service and time of remembrance will follow at 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, Illinois.
