Stony Point Pub has closed its doors, marking the end of its run in the village after the restaurant announced the decision in a message to customers Monday night.

The restaurant’s final day of service was Sunday, March 29, according to the announcement shared on its Facebook page.

“It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that we will be closing this location of our restaurant,” the post read, noting that serving the Palos Park community had been “an incredible privilege.”

Over the years, the establishment became a gathering place for residents, hosting celebrations and everyday meals alike. In its message, the restaurant reflected on the relationships built with customers, stating that what began as a business “became something much more meaningful because of the people who walked through our doors.”

Ownership cited ongoing challenges within the restaurant industry as a key factor in the decision to close the Palos Park location. The team said the move will allow them to focus on their other operations in Mokena and Homewood, while continuing plans for a future freestanding restaurant.

“This decision was not made lightly,” the statement read. “Like many in our industry, we’ve faced a variety of challenges that have made it difficult to continue operating this location in the way we had hoped.”

Despite the closure, the restaurant emphasized that it will maintain a presence in the region through its remaining locations and upcoming development plans.

The message concluded with a note of appreciation to the community: “We want to thank you—our loyal guests, friends, and neighbors—for your continued support. Your kindness, encouragement, and patronage have meant more to us than words can express.”
