Bozena Wrona

Bozena Wrona, a mathematics teacher and devoted parishioner known for her volunteer work and faith-based service, died March 22, 2026, in New Lenox, Illinois. She was 58.

She is survived by her father, Jan; her daughter, Catherine; and an expected grandson due in July 2026. She is also survived by her siblings Sylwia and Slawomir; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Janina.

Ms. Wrona was born Jan. 27, 1968, in Dabrowa Tarnowska, Poland. She graduated magna cum laude from St. Xavier University with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and secondary education. For many years, she taught mathematics at SS. Cyril and Methodius School in Lemont.

Ms. Wrona was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Seton in Orland Hills for more than two decades, where she served as a Eucharistic minister, minister of care and religious education instructor. She was also active in volunteer work, including serving at soup kitchens and building homes with Habitat for Humanity.

A funeral Mass will be held Saturday, March 28, at 10 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 9300 W. 167th St., Orland Hills, Illinois.

Interment will be in Poland.
