The Willow Springs Village Board had signs on its mind recently.

A new business, Willow Springs Fuel will sell BP gasoline. It is replacing what had been an Exxon gas station. Exxon signage has been replaced with BP signs.

In other business, trustees approved a business license for Floor Coverings International, which will be located at 5601 Willow Boulevard in Unit 102C.
Floor Coverings International owner Judy O’Reilly told the trustees that the location is for an office for her business, and not to store materials.
“Just an office and samples. Stuff like that,” O’Reilly said.
Police Chief Garry McCarthy said the department had been busy, noting that five officers made 27 car stops in a 24-hour span on Feb. 4.
“We try to make sure it’s not people who live here. So, everybody, behave,” McCarthy joked.
The police department is getting a new vehicle.
