Frank V. Kempiak, 83, of Oak Lawn, died peacefully March 12, 2026, with his niece at his side.
A longtime Oak Lawn resident and former resident of Back of the Yards, Mr. Kempiak was a member of Teamsters Union 710 and worked for Yellow Freight, from which he retired.
Kempiak was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching games and cheering on local teams. He was known for his kind heart, good sense of humor and love of animals.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mary, father Joseph and sisters Mary and Ann.
Survivors include niece Anita Staron and many friends.
Private services will be held.
Masses and prayers are appreciated in his memory.
