A 24-year-old Hickory Hills woman was arrested last week after a Cook County Sheriff’s Police investigation found she texted pornographic images to a juvenile.
Megan Chladek was arrested March 12 by investigators with the Special Victims Division’s Cyber Trafficking and Internet Crimes Against Children units after an investigation found she sent sexually explicit photos of herself and another adult to a child and to other adults, police said.
On March 14, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office charged her with Distribution of Harmful Material to a Minor and Non-Consensual Dissemination of Private Sexual Images.
Police said the investigation began on Feb. 9 after receiving a report that a juvenile had received a pornographic photo and video as well as threatening and racist text messages.
Investigators learned that Chladek had allegedly sent the images of herself engaging in sex acts with another adult to the child as well as to other adults. They also learned that while the depicted acts were consensual, the other individual did not grant permission to share the images of them.
Chladek was ordered released from custody on March 15 following her initial court appearance at the George N. Leighton Criminal Courthouse.
