John E. “Jack” Batzel Jr., 77, died March 14, 2026, after a brief illness, surrounded by family.
He was born Oct. 21, 1948, and was the son of the late John and Jeanne Batzel.
Batzel was the father of Eric Batzel and Mike Batzel and father-in-law to Krissy Batzel. He was grandfather to Ava Batzel.
Survivors include brothers Bill (Joan), Carl (Karen) and Scott (Laura); and nephews Justin, Jeremy, Chris and Andy.
Batzel was known for his free spirit, love of rock and roll and appreciation for the simple joys of life. He enjoyed watching the film “Woodstock,” fishing and golfing.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
A celebration of Jack’s life will be held at a future date, where family and friends will gather to share stories and honor his memory.
