Marian Stromidlo, 92, of Chicago, died peacefully of natural causes March 10, 2026.

He was born Sept. 9, 1933, in Poland, and immigrated to the United States with his family in 1963.

Stromidlo was the husband of Janka Stromidlo, with whom he shared 67 years of marriage.

Survivors include wife Janka; children Richard, Barbara, Lester and Christopher; brother Eugeniusz (Bronislawa); sister Irena; 12 grandchildren including Robert (Kara), Eric (Erin), Michael (Rebecca), Marissa, Nick (Carrie), Lauren (Mike), Korrine, Leslene (Ryan), Jaime, Rion, Eve (Victor) and Matthew; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Stromidlo was known for his inventive spirit, tinkering in his garage and collecting treasures. He enjoyed beekeeping, fishing in the canal behind his Florida home and spending time at his second home in Florida, where he continued his hobbies and passions.

Visitation will be held Sunday, March 15, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Ave., Justice.

Prayers and procession will begin Monday, March 16, at 9 a.m. from the funeral home to Saint Faustina Kowalska Church, 5255 S. McVicker Ave., Chicago, for 10 a.m. Mass.

Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice.
