Iris Wozniak, 78, of Chicago’s Garfield Ridge community, died peacefully March 7, 2026, surrounded by family.
She was born Iris Novak and was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy Wozniak.
Survivors include grandchildren Olivia (Michelle) Wozniak and Grace (David) Albrecht; great-grandchildren Stevie Lee and Bleu Cheese; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by son Lee S. Wozniak (Chicago Police Department), daughter-in-law Jacklyn Wozniak (nee Lamb), sister Midge Stanevicius and brother Vincent Novak.
Memorial visitation in celebration of Iris’s life will be held Saturday, March 14, from 9 a.m. until service at 12 noon at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave., Summit. Iris requested guests dress casually in jeans.
Procession will follow to Resurrection Cemetery, where Mrs. Wozniak will be laid to rest next to her husband, LeRoy.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation at cpdmemorial.org or consider donating or purchasing a book in her honor.
