Chicago Fire FC will host all three group-stage matches at SeatGeek Stadium for the Leagues Cup 2026 this August, facing three Liga MX opponents over eight days.

The Leagues Cup, a Concacaf-sanctioned competition between MLS and Liga MX, runs Aug. 4 through Sept. 6. All 18 MLS clubs face all 18 Liga MX teams in a format that sends three clubs to the 2027 Concacaf Champions Cup — with the champion earning a direct berth to the Round of 16.

The tournament features defending champion Seattle Sounders, 2025 MLS Cup winner Inter Miami, and top Liga MX club Toluca, among others. This year marks the first time matches will be held in Mexico, expanding the competition’s footprint across North America.

The Fire open against Club Necaxa on Thursday, Aug. 6, followed by Club Santos Laguna on Sunday, Aug. 9, and Cruz Azul on Thursday, Aug. 13.

Playing all three group matches at home is a significant advantage. Most Leagues Cup teams split their home and away matches, but the Fire will have fan support and familiarity for every game. SeatGeek Stadium, the Fire’s former home, gives the club a familiar setting and fan support that Liga MX opponents likely won’t have.

Kickoff times and ticket information will be announced in the coming weeks. Fans can sign up for early ticket access on the Fire’s website.

All Leagues Cup matches will be broadcast on Apple TV, with select games also available on FOX Sports, TelevisaUnivision, TSN, and RDS. The tournament will reach more than 100 countries and regions.
