Owning a banquet hall has been a dream of Mojisola “Moji” Ogunbuyide since childhood.
“Every since I was a little girl, I have always envisioned owning banquet hall,” said Ogunbuyide, of Bolingbrook. “I remember being at events at other banquet halls and I would look around thinking how they could change the lighting or things like that. I love entertainnig and hosting and this is a way for me to bring my vision to life.”
That dream became reality when Ogunbuyide took ownership of Jamog Banques on Oct. 1, 2025. The banquet hall, located at 9050 W. 159th St. in Orland Park, officially celebrated its grand opening Feb. 7 with a ribbon cutting hosted by the Orland Park Chamber of Commerce.

Jamog Banques is an all-inclusive venue that can accommodate up to 250 guests and is available for weddings, birthday parties, business gatherings and other special events.
Guests are welcomed by a large entrance area that also serves as a cocktail hour space. A standout feature is a flower wall backdrop with interchangeable flower colors, allowing hosts to customize the look to match any occasion.
The venue also features a private bridal suite and a private groom suite, providing dedicated spaces where wedding parties can prepare before the celebration begins.
Jamog Banques offers multiple drink packages, along with event packages that include tablecloths in a variety of colors, centerpieces and speakers for music. Not to mention a large dance floor and space is also available for customers who prefer to hire a DJ.
Because there is no commercial kitchen on site, guests are asked to bring their own food or work with a caterer. The hall provides a list of nearby food vendors and encourages clients to support local businesses.
“There are a lot of restaurants in the area and we like to support one another,” Ogunbuyide said.
Ogunbuyide said working closely with clients is one of the most rewarding parts of her job.
“We work with clients to bring their visions to life. We want to make the day absolultely perfect for them,” she said.
Ogunbuyide said her passion for hosting is rooted in her Nigerian-American upbringing.
“I come from a large family. We love large gatherings and getting people together. It’s always so much fun,” she said.
Choosing Orland Park as the location felt like an easy decision, she added.
“I love the Orland Park area. I have lots of friends in the area who have always spoken very highly of the community. When this location became available, I knew it was meant to be.”
Jamog Banques is open Monday through Sunday, offering a flexible, customizable space designed to bring people together — just as Ogunbuyide imagined when she was a child attending celebrations of her own.
