Joseph William Deliberto, known affectionately as Joe, passed away peacefully Feb. 7, 2026, at the age of 77 in Palos Heights, Illinois.
Born Oct. 16, 1948, in Chicago, Joe was the son of the late Charles and Therese (Haggerty) Diliberto. He was a beloved brother to the late Nick, Jimmy and Chuck Diliberto and a devoted father to his son, Nicklas Deliberto. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.
Joe was a proud graduate of De La Salle High School and continued his education at Kennedy-King College. He built a strong career as a truck driver, applying the same work ethic and determination that defined much of his life.
A lifelong Chicago sports fan, Joe rarely missed a chance to cheer on the Chicago Bears, Chicago Bulls, Chicago Blackhawks and Chicago White Sox. He loved the camaraderie and tradition that came with every season.
Beyond sports, Joe was an avid reader with a deep curiosity about the world. He had a particular interest in astrology and often reflected on life’s bigger questions. Those close to him will remember his quick wit, infectious laughter and the thoughtful perspective he offered when someone needed advice. He had a gift for cutting through complexity and sharing wisdom with quiet clarity.
Joe’s legacy is one of humor, intelligence and heart. Though he will be deeply missed, the memories he created will live on in the lives of those who loved him.
