Two Summit businesses were broken into early Thursday morning, Feb. 12, police said.
My Twist Frozen Yogurt and Boba Tea at 7520 W. 63rd Street was hit first at 4:55 a.m., followed by the Hall of Fame Sports Bar at 6303 S. Archer Road at around 5 a.m.
Owner Quynh Ho of My Twist said surveillance video captured the entire break-in.
“It happened at 4:55 a.m. Our cameras show it all. There were three of them. You can see them before they even break the glass. You can see them approach the door, break the glass and throw my Ring camera. Two went in, and one stayed outside to apparently be a lookout. They were all masked up with ski masks and wearing gloves. You can’t tell much, but they appear to be young by the way they were talking.”

Ho said the suspects spent only 3 to 4 minutes inside the store. They searched through paperwork, cabinets, and other areas but found nothing to steal.
“I don’t keep cash there, and luckily no equipment was damaged,” Ho said.
He turned over the video footage and audio to Summit police.
Ho said he believes the same crew hit both businesses Thursday morning as he said the Hall of Fame was hit just after his place.
He doesn’t believe it was related to vandalism that occurred at his store and others in the area last February.
“Last year, there was one person, this time there were three individuals,” Ho said.
Police said gaming machines at the Hall of Fame Sports Bar were also broken into.
Police Chief Mel Ortiz said an investigation is underway.
Despite the disruption, Ho said the community’s response has kept him moving forward.
“They can slow us down, but they definitely can’t stop us. Thank you to everyone who reached out to check up on us,” he posted on social media.
Ho also thanked the businesses that helped him recover quickly.
