Women’s hockey players Kendall Coyne Schofield, a Palos Heights native, and Abbey Murphy, an Evergreen Park native, are representing the Southwest Regional area at the Milan Cortina Olympics. Follow along here for updates.
Tuesday, Feb. 10
The U.S. improved to 4-0 with a 5-0 win against previously unbeaten Canada. Murphy assisted on three of the goals, giving her four assists in the tournament. Coyne Schofield had one shot.
Monday, Feb. 9
In a 5-0 shutout of Switzerland, Coyne Schofield had two shots and Murphy had one.
Saturday, Feb. 7
Murphy’s goal at 16:56 of the third period capped the scoring in a 5-0 U.S. win against Finland. She also had an assist and three shots. Coyne Schofield had three shots.
