Josephine Eisses (nee DeBlecourt), age 94, passed away on January 31, 2026.
She was the beloved wife of the late Hubert Eisses and loving mother of Elaine (the late Allen) Blank, Marty, Joyce (Bill) Demitriu, Nancy (John) Mackowiak, and the late Robert. Cherished grandmother of Trina McGrath, Marty Jr. (Emma), Jimmy Demitriu, Jessica (Erik) Mercado, Samantha (Mike) Hozzian, Marisa Mackowiak, and Josh Mackowiak. Josephine was also a dear great-grandmother to Alyssa, Brianna, Caitlin, Sara, Amanda, Emma, Maddie, Brooklynn, Ryder, Harper, Hayden, Lochlan, and Eve, and a loving great-great-grandmother of Max, Zias, Colton, Kelsey, and Ariela. She was the dear sister of Marty (JoAnne) DeBlecourt, Louie (the late Shirley) DeBlecourt, Eleanor (the late Clarence) Ouwenga, and predeceased by Minnie, Hybo (the late Eleanor), and Harriet DeBlecourt.
Family and friends are invited to a Visitation on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m., at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Avenue, Justice, Illinois. Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois.
