A Chicago woman was charged with numerous violations after she was stopped Jan. 18 for improper lane usage in the 8400 block of West 123rd Street, Palos Heights police said.
Kenya L. Harris, 36, of the 6400 block of South Talman Avenue, was stopped at 1:46 a.m. but then fled before being stopped again a short distance later, police said.
An investigation then found that Harris was driving under the influence and on a suspended license, police said. Open alcohol was later found in the vehicle, police said.
She was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Fleeing and Eluding (a peace officer), Driving While License Suspended, Unlawful Transportation of Open Alcohol, Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and Improper Lane Usage.
