A North Chicago man was arrested last month for failing to register as a sex offender, Orland Park police said
Willie L. Jones, 66, of North Chicago, was arrested on Jan. 7 and charged with failing to register as a sex offender at Orland Park Village Hall, 14700 Ravinia Ave.
Police said they were called to Village Hall because there was a subject sitting at the front entrance slurring his words.
According to the police report, when they approached him, he was “talking bizarrely” and was carrying vodka on his person.
Police said that through LEADS, they found he was non-compliant with registering as a sex offender.
