On January 20, at 12:19 a.m., a traffic stop led to the arrest of Kevin Hernandez, 20, from Joliet. Hernandez was charged with speeding 21-25 mph over posted limit, no valid insurance, and driving while his license is suspended. He was subsequently released with a notice-to-appear.

On January 20, at 12:10 a.m., Monee officers were dispatched to the 26200 block of S. Cherry Lane for a delayed burglary to a motor vehicle. Upon their arrival, officers found a rear passenger’s side window broken out. The victim could not confirm if anything was taken. Officers did discover footprints in the snow; however, they ended down the street where it appears they were picked up. Monee detectives are investigating. 

On January 20, at 3:47 p.m., a traffic stop led to the arrest of Cherelle Hoy, 33, from Monee. Hoy was charged with speeding in a school zone and driving while her license is suspended. She was subsequently released with a notice-to-appear.

On January 22, at 8 a.m., a traffic stop led to the arrest of Lafayette Garth, 30, from Monee. Garth was charged with failure-to-yield at a stop intersection and operating a motor vehicle with an electronic device. He was subsequently given a notice-to-appear for the traffic violations. During the traffic stop officers learned Lafayette had a no bond warrant; he was transported to the Will County Adult Detention Center for further processing.
