A Justice man was charged Saturday with first-degree murder for the fatal shooting of his father in Forest View.
Hassan Alwan, 30, of Justice, was charged with the fatal shooting of his father, Amin Alwan, 58, of Burbank.
Forest View police said they responded to a call of shots fired about 5:37 p.m. on Thursday and found a man down near Synergy Logistics, 5240 W. 47th St.
Officers said Amin Alwan was unresponsive and bleeding from the face after apparently being shot.
Officers immediately began CPR, but Alwan died at the scene.
Forest View police and the WESTAF Major Crimes Task Force identified Hassan Alwan as a suspect. He was later taken into custody.
He was ordered held at Cook County Jail.
His next scheduled court date is Feb. 3 at the Bridgeview Courthouse.
