Charles R. Shubert, U.S. Army World War II veteran, passed away on January 14, 2026.

Charles “Chuck” Shubert passed away peacefully from natural causes on January 14, 2026, in LaGrange, Illinois. He was born July 20, 1922, in Chicago, Illinois.

Beloved husband of the late Rita Shubert. Devoted father of Paul Shubert (Ann) and Diane Brewer (Bruce). Cherished grandfather of Melissa, Terri, Mathew and Caroline, and dearest great-grandfather of Tommy, Everett, Savannah, Declan and Paige.

Chuck proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. Following his honorable discharge, he built a successful career as an estimator and furthered his education at Morton College. His strong Christian faith guided his life and was reflected in his kindness, humility and generosity toward others.

He found great joy in fishing and loved music, sharing his voice as a member of a senior choir. Chuck was known for his gentle spirit, friendly smile and genuine warmth, qualities that left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Visitation will be held Friday, January 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Saint Fabian Church, 7450 W. 83rd Street, Bridgeview, Illinois, followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m.

Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, Illinois.
