The Village of Orland Park, the Village of Tinley Park, Orland Township and Cook County Commissioner Sean Morrison hosted the third annual Southwest Job Fair on Jan. 15, bringing job seekers and employers together for a day focused on hiring and economic growth in the Southwest suburbs.

The one-day event was held at the Tinley Park Convention Center, 18451 Convention Center Drive in Tinley Park. Veterans and special recreation groups were admitted early, beginning at 10:45 a.m. The fair was open to job seekers of all experience levels and backgrounds.

Organizers said the event built on the success of last year’s job fair, which drew strong participation from both employers and applicants. This year’s fair featured opportunities across a wide range of industries, including health care, technology, retail, hospitality and other growing sectors.

The fair was designed to connect local businesses with talented workers while supporting economic development throughout the region. By bringing employers and job seekers together under one roof, officials aimed to help fill open positions and create pathways to long-term careers close to home.

Job seekers had the opportunity to meet face-to-face with hiring managers and company representatives from prominent local employers. Attendees were able to submit resumes, take part in on-the-spot interviews, receive digital professional headshots and learn more about available positions and career paths.
