William Thomas Saviski, known to all as Bill, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, at the age of 83, in Darien, Illinois. Born on February 26, 1942, Bill lived a life that was a testament to love, laughter, hard work, and connection.
Bill was the devoted husband of Lori Saviski, his beloved wife of 58 years. Together they built a life full of joy, humor, love, and unwavering partnership. He was the proud father of Laura (Mike) Stigge, Jennifer Padavic, and Bill (Jennifer) Saviski, and the cherished grandfather of Garrett, Olivia, Dusten, Madeline, Bradley, Juliana, Katie, Michael, and Teddy.
He was the son of the late Frederick Saviski and Ann Rakowski, and brother of the late Frederic E. (Nancy) Saviski.
Throughout his career, Bill dedicated himself to building relationships, whether through his work in sales or his ventures as an entrepreneur. He had an extraordinary ability to connect with people from all walks of life, leaving a lasting impression wherever he went.
Bill was the director of every gathering, bringing people together with his quick wit, sharp sense of humor, and love for laughter. A lifelong fan of movies, trivia, and games, he could turn any get-together into a friendly competition filled with fun and banter. He often encouraged thoughtful discussions, retellings of history, and shared his entertaining theory that life’s meaning could be found in the number 42. His joy in bringing people together was one of his many gifts.
Bill’s life was a reflection of his values: love, laughter, generosity, and perseverance. He found joy in simple moments, pride in his family, and meaning in the friendships he built over a lifetime.
He will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
