Evergreen Park rings in the new year with the addition of four businesses that received village approval.

Keeler Construction Group LLC, 9015 S. Kedzie, was the first to receive unanimous approval during the Evergreen Park Village Board meeting Monday night.

The owner had been working out of his home but requested approval from the board to open an office in the village. The general contractor business will have at least three employees.

Another construction business was approved at the meeting, Two Build LLC, 3045 W. 87th St. The business was also approved by a 5-0 margin. Trustee James McQuillan was absent from the meeting with notice.

Two Build LLC is replacing another construction business that had moved out some time ago, Mayor Kelly Burke said.

Megent Financial, 3919-25 W. 95th St., is another new business opening this month in Evergreen Park. The company will provide financial services.

St. Joseph’s Table, a boys Catholic trade school, will open at 3759 W. 95th St., second floor. While not an actual trade school, the owners want to provide boys ages 13 to 18 information on various trades.

The owners mentioned to Burke that they will teach students about trades while providing faith-based lessons as well. Each program will run about six weeks.

The mayor was pleased to have St. Joseph’s Table open in the village and added that the owners have their hearts in the right place.

“You are out to make a difference for our kids,” Burke said.
