Families rang in the New Year hours before midnight Wednesday, Dec. 31, during the Civic Center’s seventh annual Noon Year Celebration.

The family-friendly event offered a daytime alternative to traditional New Year’s Eve festivities and drew parents and children eager to celebrate together without staying up late. A DJ kept the energy high with music and dancing, while themed activities kept young attendees engaged throughout the afternoon.

In addition to the dance floor, children enjoyed balloon artists and jugglers, posed for festive photo opportunities and took part in games offering prizes. A pizza lunch from Beggar’s Pizza was served, giving families a chance to relax and refuel before the celebration’s highlight.

As the clock approached noon, families gathered for a spirited countdown, followed by a balloon drop that filled the room with cheers and laughter as the New Year was officially welcomed. Party favors added to the festive atmosphere as children celebrated the moment.

Held at the Civic Center, 14750 Ravinia Ave., the annual Noon Year Celebration once again delivered a lively, inclusive experience for families, continuing a tradition that has become a holiday staple in the community.
