Stella Janczy passed away on December 23, 2025.
She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Janczy. Loving mother of the late Grace (John) Szafran, Ann (Roman) Muszynski, Margie Janczy, and Peter Janczy. Dear grandmother of Rick Szafran, Martin Szafran, Jonathan (Jennifer) Szafran, Krystina (Austin) Derrow, Briana Janczy, and Nicole Muszynski. Dearest great-grandmother of James Szafran, Lucas Szafran, Hugo Szafran, and Gracie Szafran. Cherished daughter of the late Karolina (nee Zatlokiewicz) and the late Franciszek Karpiel. Fond sister of Maria Plewa, the late Anna Kalafut, and the late Katarzyna Bukowski. Also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 26, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Avenue, Justice, Illinois.
Funeral services will take place Saturday, December 27, 2025, with prayers and procession beginning at 10:00 a.m. from the funeral home to Our Lady Mother of the Church Polish Mission, 116 Hilton Street, Willow Springs, Illinois, for an 11:00 a.m. Mass.
Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Justice, Illinois.
