Richard Fredrick, 29, of the 11500 block of Lake Shore Drive, Orland Park, was charged November 20 with driving under the influence and several other violations after police said he drove off the road and into a ditch near the 10700 block of 183rd Street.
When police arrived on the scene and asked Fredrick what happened, he told police he “didn’t know.” Police said Fredrick didn’t know where he was but was trying to get home.” He told police he “had a couple of beers” earlier in the day.
Fredrick was charged with DUI, having a blood alcohol content over .08, driving without insurance, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and illegal lane usage, police said.
