Gloria Waymar

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Gloria M. Waymar, of Justice, Illinois, who left us on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at the age of 85.

Gloria was the beloved wife of the late George Waymar and a devoted mother to Linda (Ray) Deitelhoff, Ginger Pollard, and the late Laura Serapin. She was a cherished grandmother to Faith Lynn Daniels and Kenneth (Marcie) Jessie, and a proud great-grandmother to Madison Elizabeth and Payton Quinn Jessie. She was the loving daughter of the late Peter Sr. and the late Helen Evanoff, and the dear sister of the late Peter Evanoff Jr. (Barbara). Gloria will be fondly remembered by her nephews, extended family, friends, and neighbors. She will be truly missed by all who love her.

Born in Chicago, Gloria attended Harrison High School before graduating from Argo Community High School. In 1958, she married George, and together they built a warm and loving home, settling in Justice in August 1961. Gloria dedicated herself to raising their three daughters, nurturing a family rooted in love, faith, and resilience.

Gloria began her career as a hairdresser, a profession she enjoyed for five years. She later worked in the food service department at Reavis High School in Burbank, Illinois. She went on to spend 20 years at Heinemann Bakery inside Dominick’s Finer Foods, where she was known for her warmth, work ethic, and kindness before retiring.

A devoted Catholic, Gloria held her faith close throughout her life. She found joy in caring for her home, tending her garden, nurturing her flowers, and feeding the birds. The beauty of the outdoors brought her peace and happiness, and she embraced the simple pleasures of nature with gratitude and love.
