Our hearts are broken to announce the passing of Diane J. Swiatkowski, nee Szabelski. Diane shared 51 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, David. She was the cherished mother of David Jr. (Diana) Swiatkowski and Donald Swiatkowski, and a devoted grandmother to Evan and Mya.
Diane was a loving sister to Roman (Pauline) Szabelski and the late Rev. Joseph Szabelski, late Mary Ann (William) Lange, and the late Kathleen Szabelski. She was also a dear aunt to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Diane’s warmth, kindness, and bright spirit touched everyone who knew her, leaving a lasting impression of love and joy.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 5, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 West Archer Ave. (55th Street just west of Harlem). Family and friends will gather Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 8404 S. Cass Ave., Darien, IL 60561, for visitation starting at 10 a.m. followed by Mass at 10:30 a.m. A procession will follow to Resurrection Cemetery, where Diane will be laid to rest.
Diane will always be remembered as a ray of sunshine in the lives of her loved ones. May her pure and gentle soul rest in peace. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you spend time with a loved one.
