On November 1, Peotone officers were flagged down, in the 100 block of Railroad Street, regarding two battery incidents involving multiple individuals at Suzi’s Saloon and the rear parking lot. The reporting victim stated he was pushed inside the bar and later confronted and pushed again outside, during which his phone was thrown. No involved parties requested medical assistance or wished to pursue complaints. Officers documented the incident, and all parties were released.

On November 4, a Peotone officer responded to the 100 block of N. West Street for a report of fraudulent checking account activity involving five unauthorized transactions totaling more than $10,000. The complainant identified the suspected individual through the merchant and notified the bank, preventing further charges. The detective division, working with the bank, was able to recover the money for the victim. The investigation is ongoing.

On November 5, a Peotone officer responded to an attempted vehicle theft in the 100 block of S. Harlem Avenue. Surveillance video captured a suspect red SUV arriving at the location, after which two unidentified suspects exited and accessed a 2023 lime-green 392 Scat Pack by manipulating the rear passenger window. One suspect attempted to disable the alarm system by tampering with dashboard wiring, while the second opened the vehicle’s hood. Despite multiple attempts, the vehicle was not started.

A detective processed the scene. Photographs and video footage from the surrounding area and communities were collected for further investigation.
