Wanda Hill

Wanda Lee Hill, a beacon of warmth and love, graced this world with her presence on December 3, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois. Her journey came to a peaceful close on October 23, 2025, in Palm Harbor, Florida, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family.

Wanda navigated life with a boundless spirit and a smile that could light up any room. Her legacy is one of kindness, resilience, wit, and the enduring power of family. She cherished her role as a matriarch, providing guidance and love in ample measure to all who were blessed to be a part of her life.

She is survived by her devoted son, Scott Hill, and caring daughter-in-law, Debbie Hill. Wanda’s legacy will live on through her five grandchildren, one granddaughter-in-law, and five great-grandchildren, who will continue to share her stories and carry forward her love. She also leaves behind numerous relatives and friends who join in mourning her passing and celebrating her remarkable journey.

Preceding Wanda in death were those dearest to her heart, including her beloved husband, Albert J. Hill, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories, and her son, John A. Hill, who left this world too soon. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Louis, Truman, and Butchie, and her sisters Bonnie, Mavis, and her sister at heart, Sandy.

Wanda’s story is one of a life well-lived and well-loved. Her laughter, wisdom, and warmth touched everyone who knew her. Though her absence leaves a deep void, her spirit will continue to guide and comfort those she loved.

As we bid farewell to Wanda Lee Hill, we do so with gratitude for the time we were given with her. Her love and grace will forever ripple through the lives she touched.

Visitation: Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium, 7861 S. 88th Avenue, Justice, Illinois.

Funeral: Monday, November 3, 2025, 10:30 a.m. Service and Time of Remembrance to be held at the funeral home.

Interment: Fairmount-Willow Hills Memorial Park, Willow Springs, Illinois.
