Tracey Jared Land, age 52, passed away suddenly on October 22, 2025. A lifelong resident of Bridgeview, Illinois, Tracey was born on August 12, 1973, in Evergreen Park.
He was the loving father of Michael Land (Nora Marren) and Mark Land (Mary Vestal), and a devoted grandpa to Robert Thomas Land. Beloved son of Marjorie Land (née Goodenow) and the late Gerard Land. Cherished brother of Tim, Terry (Jackie), Todd, and Troy (Kristi) Land. Dear uncle of Shane, Austin, Maggie, and Kyle Land, and the late Christian Land.
Tracey graduated from Argo Community High School in 1991 and went on to earn his Associate Degree in Culinary Arts from Moraine Valley Community College. Cooking was his passion, and he shared it freely — no one ever left his presence hungry, but always left feeling happy and loved.
Tracey wore his heart on his sleeve; you never had to question how he felt about you. Family was the most important part of his life, and he always put others’ needs before his own. He lived each day to the fullest, seeing every challenge as an opportunity to grow.
He filled his days advancing his cooking skills for family gatherings, listening to Van Halen, cheering on the New Orleans Saints, and cracking open a cold Miller Lite. Tracey will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family and friends will gather for a Memorial Visitation on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a Funeral Service at 4:30 p.m., at Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 Southwest Hwy., Palos Hills, Illinois. Interment Private.
