Michael J. Weglowski, 85, of Peotone, passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born on September 29, 1940, in Blue Island, he was the son of Joseph and Helen Weglowski. Michael was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran and a member of Peotone American Legion Post 392. He was the owner of Jay’s Auto Supply and a mechanic at heart, who enjoyed working on cars and helping anyone in need of assistance.
Michael is survived by his wife, Glenda (Tabor) Weglowski; his children, Dona (Randy) Southerland, Lora (Scott) Dunbar, and Michael Weglowski Jr.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held at Peotone American Legion, 109 E. North Street in Peotone, on Saturday, November 22, from 1 – 4 p.m.
