Raul Perez passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025. He was the beloved husband and best friend of Elizabeth Granados-Perez, and the loving and proud father of Julia Perez.
He was the cherished and devoted son of Amalia Garcia Perez, Raul Perez, and Jose Perez; and the dear big brother of Elizabeth (Roberto) Diaz and Rogelia Perez. Raul was a loved uncle of Jazzmin Ramos, Jessica Diaz, Miguel Diaz, Christina Diaz, and Anthony Perez, and a grateful godfather to Jazzmin, Anthony, Dominique, Elizabeth, Christina, Ronin, Mayrin, and others he held close “by association.”
A loyal fan of the Miami Dolphins and Chicago White Sox, Raul supported his teams passionately—while keeping a realistic sense of their potential. He’ll be remembered for his big heart, generosity, and the way he made everyone feel welcome in his presence.
Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th Street just west of Harlem). Visitation will continue Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until time of prayers at 9 a.m. Procession will follow to St. Faustina Church for a 9:30 a.m. Mass. Raul will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery.
