Elias G. “Leo” Deplaris, age 84, of Burbank, Illinois, passed away on October 17, 2025. Born on February 4, 1941, in Chicago, he was the son of the late George and Mary (née Chigaros) Deplaris.
Leo was the devoted husband of Gail (née Thornton) Deplaris, loving father of Elaine (Dan) Taylor and George (Carol) Deplaris, and proud grandfather of Alyssa and Zachary Deplaris. He was the cherished brother of the late Nick, Jeannie, and Sheila, and a fond uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Over the past ten years, Leo faced significant health challenges but met each day with courage, resilience, and unwavering love for his family. His warmth, generosity, and steadfast spirit touched everyone who knew him, leaving a legacy of love and strength.
Leo will be profoundly missed, but his memory and spirit will live on in the hearts of those he cherished and those who cherished him. May his memory be eternal.
