Laughter, music, and the sound of excitement filled the air as Slick City Orland Park officially opened its doors on Thursday, Oct. 16, marking a new chapter of fun and family entertainment in the southwest suburbs.

The grand opening celebration drew a big crowd eager to experience the first-of-its-kind indoor slide park — a place built for year-round adventure and active play.

The ribbon cutting ceremony kicked off the festivities, featuring a live DJ, face painting, temporary tattoos, and a prize wheel full of giveaways. The first 100 guests who purchased 90-minute tickets at 4 p.m. received a free 30-minute upgrade, giving them extra time to race, spin, and glide down the park’s massive slides.

Located at 66 Orland Square Drive, the new 55,000-square-foot facility quickly impressed guests with its sleek design and energy-filled atmosphere. Unlike trampoline parks or water attractions, Slick City uses dry slide technology, allowing guests to experience high-speed thrills without water. The park also includes air courts, climbing walls, and soft play zones, along with a Chicago-themed laser tag arena and a mini putt-putt course that is expected to open by Christmas.

“It’s been amazing to be here in Orland Park,” said Kevin Dugal, Vice President of Operations for Slick City Orland Park. “I have a lot of friends and family nearby and it’s a great area.”

Orland Park Mayor Jim Dodge also joined in on the celebration and shared his excitement. “I’m glad you’re here, and I wish you all the success — I can’t wait to see the lines around the block,” Dodge said.

Slick City Orland Park is the company’s 22nd location in Illinois, following the success of its first site, which opened in North Aurora just one year ago.

“What makes Slick City unique is its completely dry, indoor concept — guests can experience the thrill of sliding and active play in a clean, climate-controlled environment, any time of year,” said Hallie Long, a member of Slick City’s Public Relations Team. “It’s an entirely new way to move, play and celebrate together.”

With attractions for all ages — from the daring slides like Fast Lane and Big Wave to the “Junior Jungle” designed for kids under five — Slick City Orland Park has quickly become a place where the whole family can play, laugh, and make memories together.
