Remember the thrill of hide-and-seek, the rush of “tag, you’re it,” or those long summer nights turning the neighborhood into a stage for top-secret missions? Games like escape rooms have tapped into that spirit, and soon Orland Park will have its own version.
A recent press release confirmed that Orland Park will make space for Time Mission, a 10,000-square-foot adventure venue planned for 66 Orland Square Drive across from Orland Square Mall.
The opening is set for spring 2026 and will be the company’s second Chicago-area location, following Mount Prospect, which is scheduled to debut later this year.
Time Mission already operates in New York, Rhode Island and Virginia, with additional sites planned in Philadelphia and Mount Prospect.

Orland Park’s location will bring something different to the local mix of things to do. Teams of two to five people can step into more than two dozen themed “portals,” racing the clock to solve riddles, crack codes, dodge lasers and find hidden tunnels.
David Larson, managing partner of TM Operations, said Orland Park’s community made it an easy choice for expansion.
“Orland Park is such a fun, family-oriented community with tons of energy, shopping and entertainment, and we know our players are going to love the mix of adventure, teamwork and technology that makes Time Mission unique,” Larson said.
“With our first Chicagoland spot opening in Mt. Prospect in just two months, we couldn’t be more pumped to keep the fun going and share the experience with even more people.”
Pieter Martens, founder and CEO of Time Mission, said the move reflects a broader shift in entertainment.
“It is rewarding to see partners like TM Operations expand Time Mission into new communities,” Martens said.
“Their commitment reflects the growing demand for immersive, team-based entertainment, and we are proud to support their efforts as the Time Mission brand continues to grow across the U.S. At Time Mission, our goal has always been to redefine what entertainment can be, blending technology with teamwork, adventure and fun.”
The venue will add another option to Orland Park’s mix of shopping, dining and entertainment. With plans set to open in spring 2026, residents and visitors will soon have a new place to spend time together.
